What is Download Japan?




Download Japan is the Japanese version of Download Festival, a rock music festival that originated in the UK in 2003. Download Festival is held every year in June at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England, which is considered to be the holy land of rock music. Download Festival features a wide range of rock genres, such as punk, metal, hardcore, classic rock, alternative rock, indie rock, pop rock, etc. Some of the past headliners of Download Festival include AC/DC, KISS, Metallica, Black Sabbath, The Prodigy, Rage Against The Machine, Slipknot, Linkin Park, and many more.


Download Japan was launched in 2019 as the first Asian edition of Download Festival. It was held on March 21st at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, near Tokyo. It attracted about 30,000 rock fans who enjoyed the performances of 14 artists, such as Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, Arch Enemy, Anthrax, Halestorm, and more. Download Japan 2020 is the second edition of the festival, and it is expected to be even bigger and better than the first one.


When and Where is Download Japan 2020?




Download Japan 2020 is scheduled to take place on Monday, March 29th, 2020. The festival will start at 10:00 a.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. The venue for Download Japan 2020 is the same as the previous year, Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture. Makuhari Messe is a large convention center that can accommodate up to 72,000 people. It is located about 30 minutes by train from Tokyo Station, and it is easily accessible by public transportation. My Chemical Romance
